For the Alfresco Submit 2014 event in London, we have released a new community version of beCPG. Matthieu and Philippe will be present on the event so you can contact them to talk about Alfresco, beCPG or else.

This new release 1.6.c includes a lot of small improvements and some new interesting features. Lots of work has been done on stability and bug fixes.
Project module

 

Project module comes with a lot of new  capabilities :
  • Multi-level tasks to describe the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the project

  • Gantt view available on the project
  • A resource can now be a user group
  • A resource can be a Role (Creator, ProjectManager). You can create custom roles.
  • Budget and time tracking

New german translation has been submitted by a partner for beCPG Project Manager.

PLM Module

 

PLM module has been reworked to be faster and easier. Bulk edition, where used and search are now more powerfull than ever.
New search interface allows to work faster :

Changer order recorder and automatic change orders allow to keep control on product changes and versioning.

Designer module  
Few changes in the Designer module, only small bug fixes, and new becpg core module dependency.
Notable feature for designer users is the possibility to use new controls:
  • Multi language picker
  • Color picker

Core module

Core module comes with many bug fixes, performance improvements and new features.
  • Bulk-edit is now faster
  • All export use Excel format instead of CSV
  • beCPG Administration is now available to users who are in the group SystemMgr

Next release will be beCPG 2.0 and will be compatible with Alfresco 5.0.
For that release, we will focus on simplicity and usability.
