Supplier portal

Supplier portal for raw materials and packaging

The beCPG supplier portal collects specifications, certificates and questionnaires from your suppliers, in their own language and even on their phone. Suppliers upload their documents, AI pre-fills the product data and your quality team approves it: the data flows straight into the product repository and formulation, with no re-keying.

How it works

How the supplier portal works

  • You send a request: onboarding questionnaire, raw material or packaging specification, certificates. The steps, fields and lists come from your PLM configuration: a field added on your side appears in the portal without any development.
  • The supplier uploads their documents: specification sheet, certificates, audit reports. Each requirement is flagged as mandatory, missing, expired or about to expire.
  • AI pre-fills the product data from the specification sheet, with a confidence level for each value. It also suggests allergens based on the ingredients, with cross-contamination analysis. The supplier checks and completes the form.
  • Your quality team approves. Discrepancies between the document and the data entered are highlighted, versions are compared, and approved data is immediately available for formulation, specifications and labelling.

What is a supplier portal?

A supplier portal is a secure space where your suppliers submit the data and documents you need for their raw materials and packaging: specification sheets, certificates, questionnaires and specifications. Your teams review and approve them before they are added to the product file.

Do suppliers still have to enter their data?

Far less. The supplier uploads their specification sheet and AI pre-fills the product data, with a confidence level for each value. The supplier checks and completes the form; your quality team immediately sees which values deserve a closer look.

Is any data saved without human review?

No. Every value extracted or suggested by AI is presented as a suggestion. Nothing is saved in the PLM without approval. A missing confidence level is never displayed as a low one.

How can changes to a supplier specification be detected?

beCPG highlights discrepancies between the uploaded document and the data entered by the supplier. It also compares two versions of a specification, highlighting the changes.

Which languages are available?

The portal is multilingual: suppliers fill in forms in their own language, and beCPG handles as many content languages as you need.

Can the portal be hosted on our own infrastructure?

Yes. The supplier portal is open source and runs as a single Docker image, in the cloud or on your own infrastructure. Suppliers sign in through your identity provider (OIDC), with single sign-on if you have it.
